Axes break, clothes rip. Most likely the smarter people would claim a bunch of land, settle it, fence it, then use half for farming, and some mining and then use stuff they earn from linen, to make furniture.
They break like once a year. No one could sustain a living off of the 5 neighbors they have within a hundred mile radius.

I'll clearly start an industry of chair making and doorknob crafting and then deny you all the niche supplies you need.
Then you'll all fall to my demands!

No please, it would be so hard to make a doorknob or sit on a stump!

To answer dodger, I am saying if we were back in the earlier years, and government was never made.

Government has always existed.

Are you implying government is a new age thing?
Man do you even know what you're saying?

I remember back in 1987 when there was no government. I wish things could go back to the way they were and I could go back to farming my corn.

Alright, got you kinda

There is still a few reasons why it still wouldn't work:

1. Humans are naturally greedy and conflicting bastards. Sharing land and resources isn't easy. Even in early times when there were more of those things, empires still went to war.

2. People will naturally follow the strongest and smartest people who naturally form some type of organized system of ruling both politically and economically similar to a government.

3. Advancement of technology requires both centralized resources and an economy. More people requires better technology for stuff like farming, defense, power, communication, transportation, etc. and with no economy we wouldn't even really have items like computers most likely.

naturally, i am better then you. and by my own efforts, i am even better'er.

therefore i must have more things then you. drive a nicer car then you. live in a better home then you. and have the means to protect it all better then you. have more wives then you.

and the government treats me better then you because i am the creator of industry, jobs, and trade. while all you are is a number for us to count.

the perfect system. equality is stuff.
