Author Topic: There should be more realistic post apocalyptic video games.  (Read 429 times)

I've been playing fallout 3 again and I still love it but I wouldn't mind an actual realistic post-apocalyptic video game. Maybe something similar to Mad Max (road warrior). I'm not really interested in super mutants, lasers, etc. I've wanted to see humans try to fight for survival against other humans and I've expected the game to be 10x more violent but the raiders seem like push overs. The raiders in the Road Warrior would had ate the fallout 3 raiders for breakfast.

What I've expected in Fallout 3 was rapists, more cannibals, more brutal tortures, people fighting over tiny bits of food, settlements being invaded by raiders, make-shift armored vehicles, etc. I may have even expected some kind of "mutant" city but when I say "mutant" I mean the horribly disfiguring realistic kind. People with stuffloads of tumors, boils, cancer, extra fingers or toes, etc. Instead none of that exists unless you count the ghoul city but they don't seem to be in pain from their horrible condition.

I think if they had a game based on the bombs falling in 1950-60 and the present video game time would be 2010 then that would be really neat. You would explore america that stayed in the 50s decaying over time. Fallout had a 50s feel but it was set in the future of 20XX before the bombs fell.

meh, not into these kinds of games

I think ITG3 still needs to be released :S

Try Borderlands? Mm. I love that game. Second one is finally in development.

I don't like cartoonish style games and Borderlands isn't realistic.

I've been wanting a game like this for a looong time.

how does a floating head play pc or console games

Metro 2033 was the only realistic Post Apoc game I have seen based in Russia, infact the ONLY one I've seen based in Russia.
