What's the newest version?

Yes, it's called retail, go search if you want an explanation of it. And no, they don't.

You can't transfer saves as the bricks aren't the same, some RTB bricks do not exist in Retail.

They aren't the same at all, the rotations are stored in a custom format I think, among other things.
