Author Topic: ?Blockland For i pod touch?  (Read 1914 times)

i have an i pod touch, i love blockland. so why not have blockland for ipod touch? can someone please help? 4 ?

Because it's a real hassle to convert it over to another format and rework the controls for the small screen. Plus the iPod processor couldn't handle a ~12k brick build like ACM city.

Been discussed before, not gonna happen.

There are so many problems, it'd be easier just to make Blockland 2 in the latest Source engine.

Putting aside all other reasons, building would be hellish. Actually, everything would be hellish. It would have to be a gamemode only game.

The only sensible thing to make would be Blockland: Zombies, using ZAPT. It would sort of be like Gameloft's Zombie Infection 2, though with first person and slightly different controls to fire.

I heard aplem did this, he has it for his Ipod I think.

I think it ran on lua, but it was really crappy.

I'd rather see blockland on a tablet than a smartphone.
makes more sense.

And use the search, good grief.

No. This is a terrible idea, because 1, it would be laggy as forget on the Ipod processor, 2, I doubt it would support addons unless you installed them from a completely separate app, and 3, it's been discussed and it will never happen.

Something really basic was made for PSP

psp has actual controls and a better processor than an ipod touch

Handheld systems really just in general do not have the ram to really handle games like blockland.  Maybe the Vita that's coming out might, though.

This.

Yep, there was a PSP version, though it was basic. I've seen a video of it.

It was fan-made.
