Not putting in games because this is an event, not a game.

Does anybody think they can go? I'm going to try to go with one of my friends who's over 18 and stuff, but I can't buy tickets and airfare and accommodations until I receive my paycheck from working 51 hours doing tech stuff (this means it's a lot of money).

If you're going, or want to go, discuss here about the event and maybe plan to meet up somewhere? Idk.

You can have a convention for just one game?

I like how X-Con events are always in places other than where I live. B/

You can have a convention for just one game?
Pretty ridiculous isn't it.

You can have a convention for just one game?

Don't they have Quake-cons?

It's more of a release party. (Because Minecraft isn't technically released somehow)

Anyway I'd love to go but there's no way in hell I'll be able to.

Don't they have Quake-cons?
Quake-con had a lot more than just Quake though.

As I said in the Minecraft topic regarding this,

Minecraft gets way more attention than it's worth. I love the game, don't get me wrong, but it does not deserve all the publicity it is getting.

Wait, what do they mean by 'The offical release of Minecraft"? Like the source code?

Minecraft has a big enough community on it's own for there to be a convention.

Since my friend is over 18, I wonder if he wins the "The Ultimate Fan Experience" if I would get to be a part of it too...gee, I hope so.

Wait, what do they mean by 'The offical release of Minecraft"? Like the source code?

It's still in Beta, they're releasing the full Minecraft game in November.

Minecraft is in Beta, when it becomes a full game.

but it does not deserve all the publicity it is getting.
That's up to the people who are starting the event in the first place. This is merely an opinion.
