What is Pottermore?

Pottermore is a free website that builds an exciting online experience around the reading of the Harry Potter books.

It’s the same story, with a few crucial additions; the most important one is you.

I got a free account and didn't have to do anything but be nice. :3 My name is Howlwitch. I want to be part of Slytherin. I even got a slytherin clock for my phone.

I know a bunch of people that got in, but I honestly couldn't care less about this site. It just seems like a dumb idea...really, the books/movies weren't enough? Holy crap I don't there was this kinda stuff over Lord of the Rings, or anything.

Personally, I really don't think that JK even wanted a part in making it, I feel as if she's probably just bored and wants to go home, but all the publicity/money hounds just want her to cash in on the franchise even more so that they can get their measly 1.5 percent or whatever.

She basically wanted the series to END, and nobody is letting it die. It's like, when some douchebag makes a topic about something, and the creator of that something tries to get the douchebag to lock the topic, and they won't.

In brief, I don't really feel as if there was any reason for Pottermore.

She specifically said that it was only going to 7, she closed all possibilities, and she ended a great series way to early.
