This is probably the most reasonable thing that would happen.

We all realize that our Relatives and friends and everyone in the town is gone.
Everyone gets bored and makes a topic on "Is anyone still alive?" but some people will already see the topic.
Badspot see's that there is still some activity on the forums, he might not do stuff or he might do this.
He might tell everyone to meet some place in some city, since there will be no law enforcement we can all just get a car and VROOM! :3
We all meet in that place, you know, get along with eachother, find some food and colonize.
OR
Badspot doesn't do stuff and just goes all free and somebody old enough might make a good plan like that.
