Author Topic: Help with New Computer  (Read 1592 times)

Hello forums.
Ages ago I asked for some help to get a new computer.
The results were okay but I need more.
You see for christmas I am getting a new computer. My dad said I should pick one early though. I need your help picking. I want it to be able to run a decent amount of games, Portal 2, TF2, Sims 3, be able to film on blockland and garrys mod with fraps. I want it to able to run decent games but nothing to fancy. The best I can get for my budget.

I need a computer (durr) a monitor and a keyboard. I already have a mouse and really guys, I only want a cheap £10 keyboard, not a high tech one.. I have £500. THAT IS POUNDS. Not euros. Not dollars. Pounds. This also means I have to able to order it from the UK.
It MUST be pre-built, no questions asked. I will I'm afraid try to ignore the posts that just say 'build one'. I can't. Ok?
So forums, can you help me find the best computer I can get for that please? Thanks in advance.

EDIT: Also, it must come with an OS. Preferably Windows 7.

Go to http://www.cybertronpc.com/ , Find the Spartan computer, and customize it to  about 800. That's the equivalent of 500 pounds. You should be able to get a better hard drive and stuff if your carrying over your old monitor.

And which bits do I customize? Since it's American can I order from the UK? Help? Please? :c

Most pre-built computers come with Windows 7. So you don't have to worie about getting one with no OS.

Yeah you could give or take £30 but not £80

Fair enough, but that was built
I'm onto Pre-built gaming

Also to the comment for the Spartan PC - it's stuff, the graphics card is garbage

http://www.ibuypower.com/Store/LAN_Warrior_II_-_AMD - Get the AMD 1100T Black Edition, it's a nice PC, but the card might have to be reconfigured in the future, £513, now to find out shippingwise. after all, its the cheapest 6 core they have on sale.

PLUS!
The Keyboard & Mouse with it cost like $6 in total, make your choices on that later.

http://www.ibuypower.com/Store/Battalion_101_W251HPQ_Gaming_Laptop this also works, the card can run everything on low at least and is samespecwise as mine.

GT520M is a pretty mid-quality card, it has a good processor setup though, so it should be able to run some games on max such as Sims 3 - 50FPS lowest, 75FPS average
TF2 goes really well, around 200FPS,
Most source games go for around a smooth 250FPS
Minecraft does 350FPS

BUT HOWEVER - THIS NO WORK. because they dont ship
TO CYBERPOWERPC!

http://www.cyberpowersystem.co.uk/system/Cyberpower_Z68_configurator/ - This is around the exact same specs as mine but a bit cheaper and a nicer case, get it.

It has nvidia graphics and intel cpu
That one looks nice then

Wait, does that one have a dvd writer as well as a player?
