Author Topic: d3100 drivers wont install.  (Read 821 times)

I installed drivers for my phone a week ago because it wouldn't work, but now my d3100 won't upload and i keep getting a message saying the drivers failed to install. This could be fixed by simply downloading the drivers from somewhere else right? If so where can i do this.

d3100 what? What brand?

Oh.
I thought it was a phone.
Check the Nikon website for driver downloads.

Lol!
Don't do that. They are pretty much scamming programs.

I know not to use that but I'm having troubles finding these drivers

ive never even heard of drivers for a DSLR and ive done quite a bit of digital photography. you just import with your program of choice, you dont need drivers. your camera came with a CD that had one or two nikon programs you can use (one of them is for importing), but i dont use them. personally i just put my SD card into my USB card reader and drag the pictures over to whatever folder.

I had a look and to me it looks like that suite that lets you manage your pictures actually includes the drivers, if they don't already come with Windows. However I could be wrong.
