Author Topic: My computer broke :I  (Read 1969 times)

Okay so I was on the forums yesterday on my computer. Everything is normal. I was installing something and it was about to finish, then my computer freezes, then shuts down. Im like okay? so I turn it back on and it didn't respawn.
I turned it back on and I see the apple Logo with the white screen in the back ground. then the apple turns into a x then it turns into a folder with a question mark on it. It looks like my computer is having a seizure. So I shut it down, and turn it back on, same thing. stuff. So I call my bro over, and he's like dude you forgeted it up. I'm like what? We came to the conclusion when I was installing something and the power died it screwed it up. So now I have to take it to the apple store, I hope they don't charge me. So now I'm on a Mac powerbook G4, this is my brothers old one. It's fine, it's sucks at running games though, but it's extremely fast on the internet. I have no steam no nothing. What do I do?

it didn't respawn.
try re-establishing your connection, maybe you lost connection to the server.

CAN YOU MAKE PARAGRAPHS?

Bro it won't even get to my desktop. or login. or load.

The hard drive corrupted itself, must've been a power shortage or something. Your hard drive can be recovered, worry not, take it to the Apple store, all that jazz.

Bro it won't even start.
you missed the point of what i was saying..

The hard drive is forgeted up its ass. That question mark folder is the "hard drive is dead" sign.

CAN YOU MAKE PARAGRAPHS?

I doubt you can, steve5451.

Your HDD is forgeted. Happened to my mac, get a new HDD, reinstall OS ( I had Tiger, but I updated to Snow Leopard) and that should fix it. You could also get a techno-weenie to recover most of the files, unless they are corrupt. HDDs installed in Macs have a remarkably high failure rate.

It's because it's a mac.

I rather not recover my files, my computer is full of stuff. I rather start out with a fresh computer.

Exactly what would come from a pre-pubescent child.
