I heard more hissing and saw one behind carol. "Carol, GET DOWN!" I said as I threw the knife.

I plunged the knife into the shadow, and it disappeared. "What?" I thought alound. I left the room, and saw another. I pulled out my magnum and fired, and the bullet seemed to... fly through it. "What the!?"

I stabbed and lashed out with my knife, but it was very uneffective, especially with only one arm working. I saw the armory out of my peripheral vision. "There! The armory!" I yelled to the other two. I jabbed the shadow I was facing in the head and made a break for it.
