Author Topic: not that great 1950s style buisness (new pics of roof)  (Read 2792 times)

it looks like you were trying to build something old

old things have a very elegant feel to them, having very special designs which exaggerate something, such as a window ledge, or a roof, sometimes with intricate carvings in them. usually some people would refer to this as "detail"

I'm not sure if you'll understand what i'm trying to say, because this is my view on old style buildings

the "details" you tried to put on your building look very random and mismatching

Stick to modern, fatty.

But please finish this first.

the bottom part is a store which i understand doesn't have too much detail on it, but if i were to build the insides of the store it would probably look better. i think maybe the scale is too small, not enough room for the details i could've added.

It's very nice, and architectural. I actually like the simple touch to it.

Please do finish, it looks very nice.

I've updated the OP with a much better picture of the roof. Also, I will probably be building two adjacent buildings.

The decoration on the rooftop seems way out of proportion to me. Try making it smaller or removing it completely. Also, you might want to replace the poles on the brackets under the edge of the roof with rounds to give them a more solid look.

Seems good otherwise.
