Have any of you guys ever heard of a desktop?

Yea, I'm getting one. Better specs, better price. (Because I already have a monitor and mouse and keyboard.)

It should be cheaper. If not, it will still have better specs.

And yes, my friend has an alienware.

They could run WoW and Fallout 3 and Call of Duty: MW2 with not a single ounce of lag.

At all.

Desktop = normal computer

at least to me.

Get a big monitor while you're at it.

This thing.

I will be getting it.

Processor: 2nd Generation Intel® Core™ i7-2630QM processor 2.00 GHz with Turbo Boost 2.0 up to 2.90 GHz
Operating System: Genuine Windows® 7 Home Premium, 64-Bit, English
Display: 17.3" HD+ (1600 x 900) LED Display with TrueLife™
Memory: 8GB Dual Channel DDR3 SDRAM at 1333MHz
Hard Drive: 640GB SATA hard drive (5400RPM)
Video Card: NVIDIA® GeForce® GT 525M (128-bit) 2GB
Optical Drive: Blu-ray Disc (BD) Combo (Reads BD and Writes to DVD/CD)
Wireless: Intel® Centrino® Wireless-N 1030, 1x2 bgn + Bluetooth
Webcam: Integrated 1.0 mega pixel widescreen HD Webcam

this laptop is very yes.

What I suggest is getting a laptop with the functionality but not the screen, then use an attached monitor (bigger, preferably) to satisfy your monitor space needs.

At all.
My laptop can run those games with no lag!

Specs?

Anyways: Kyzor, you and I have the same dilemma. My mom has an awesome laptop that has like 500DD and probably 4GB, but all she does it surf the web and crop pictures.

Currently chatting online with Dell representative to see whether or not the laptop actually has an NVIDIA GeForce GT 525M (128-bit) 2GB video card, because that seems a little too good to be true.

Edit: yep, it actually has a dedicated graphics card that has its own 2GB of memory, and an Intel Core i7 quad-core processor. Holy forgetdamn I want this thing.

Edit 2: and since I'm a senior in high school, I can get an extra whopping 2% discount on it! hooray!
