Anyone remember Blockland V8?

The add-on system wasn't that bad, It was the same as what we have now just that we had to put the models and code into individual folders.
And i loved them anyway, the addons back then had a certain kick to it, they provided necessary/practical parts for any server you were making, for example, Kaje's shotgun for deathmatches.

Without ZIP's the download system was just messy. It was flawed too, remember Amiga Soundpack. And lets not forget how messy and badly coded so much was then.

It messier, but it was not "badly coded" as you are overestimating here.
The coding wasn't as advanced as what people stuff out these days, but it wasn't "badly coded", that's a dumb way to put it.

I remember alot. I remember there WAS no CityRP at the time, and we used CashMod to RP around this server I went to.

I also played alot with the game and it's mods. Fun times. I just started out, and v9 came out like a few months later.

V8 must've been fun without all the newer guys (like me) not knowing anything when they first got the game. I still have a copy of V14 in my Yahoo Mail.

v8 sucked nothing stops you from playing with your friends now and the add-ons were all poor in comparison.

I was in demo mode of v8 until like v11 or 12 but I never downloaded any addons till like v12 cause I hadn't even heard of blockland forum

I joined in late V8, so I don't remember to much. I do remember Space Guy's bots, and some of the old JVS stuff.
I used to use a 5k ID, but now I'm using a 13k.

sounds to me like everything was hard to use and there was a lot less add-ons and things like that
good thing it's v19 right now
