Alternatively, if you don't want bloody fingers, use industrial wire cutters. I had to use those to open mine, Scissors wouldn't work.

The big siscors, or use a knife. Just sharp things in general. Also try not to get use to always have a calculator by your side. You will eventually run into a situation where you cant use it.
