So today me and Gunner went to an anime convention/cosplay in downtown Columbus(it's in the same hotel that Ohayocon will be in). Mike(Gunner) went as a vault dweller from Fallout, with his own pipboy, and I just put on my shirt with a trollfacec on it and went. While we were there, we saw a lot of bleach cosplayers(typical), and we also saw about 40 people dressed as the character from Homestuck, and awe saw a lot of Steampunk-dressed people. We also saw a Jesus, who was constantly dancing. my favorite part of the event was a presentation they did about My Little Pony, and it was GREAT. Josh Grelle, a voice actor for Funimation entertainment presented it, and it was about what makes MLP such a popular thing with males ages 15-35. That dancing Jesus guy was there, this proves that everyone is really a brony, even Jesus. There was a ton of other things to do, they had a huge room full of cool stuff to buy, such as exclusive shirts that you could only buy online(a lot of Aperture Science tshirts and mugs). Unfortunatley, I didn't buy anything because I had no money, I was stupid to not bring more then the entrance fee and some lunch money. The youtuber "Thatguywithglasses" was there, me and Mike personally ran into him and said hi.

Here are some pictures. Sorry for poor image quality, Blackberry's cameras aren't that great.

Yeah, I saw some better Dash costumes, but I didn't get pics of them.

Is the person in the rainbow dash costume a man? He's wearing some short loving shorts.

well think of it this way.. if all the ponies gather in one building they'll be a lot easier to take out, right??  :cookieMonster:

edit: out of curiosity, what were the things that made MLP "such a popular thing with males ages 15-35"? I'm a 15 year old male and I think it's gay as hell

Damn I live in Columbus, you guys should've told me you were going to be there. :(

As an animecigarette, gamer and general Otaku I can quite safely say that this has reaffirmed my stance that cosplay ruins everything

there isn't really one specific reason, but for most people, its because the cartoon is such a higher quality then all other modern cartoons(if you haven't noticed, theyre horrible nowadays), and there is so much stuff that goes over the targeted audiences' head, its ridiculous.

What makes MLP so popular for 15-35 year olds?

What makes MLP so popular for 15-35 year olds?
The fact that it pisses sane people off.

I just...

Can't get over people dressing as ponies from My Little Pony.

In all honesty I would be cringing most of the time I would be there at all the costumes ;o
