Author Topic: Just got a 1GB graphics card  (Read 1987 times)

aww yeah just upgraded from 512 mb (yet i could run crysis and stuff[it was intergrated, i think it grabbed some of my RAM]and stuff like ARMA 2) so anyway i'm currently installing the drivers so WHAT DO I PLAY GUYS?

You should play games.
Yeah, that'd be cool

Going from 512mb to 1gb of VRAM will do you maybe a small bit better.

If it's still a low-end card you're going to be able to play basic games.

if it's any consolation this new card leeches my RAM too and boosts it's VRAM.

i can run crysis on high graphics, problem?

my comuter is odd, i can close explorer.exe and my computer won't crash and i will still be able to use windows.

my dad works with computers alot, and he's said that normally explorer.exe crashes your computer when terminated.

that's what i said, but apparently he knows better

What was the integrated card before?
Seriously, the VRAM doesn't really matter much. It's more the GPU core that matters. For instance, you could get a HD4650 1gb, which is about 1/4th the power of an HD6870, which is also 1gb.
Also, how much did you spend? 8400GS sucks.

I really, really, really hope you're joking.
You've downgraded.
