Seriously, giving out mods is a good thing.

Keeping things private usually means they're not worth distrubution, or you're greedy.
If you give something out to a group of "beta testers" (people who kiss up to you the most) you can't seriously expect it to stay "private".

I realize that it was in beta or whatever.
But why does people having the beta mean he can't work on it anymore and continue improving it?
It sounds like he's just butthurt 'testing' didn't go quite his way.

There really is no "ownership" when concerning add-ons.
He gave it out to people, there's no guarentee that they'll keep it private, and he should have known that.
Besides, giving it out doesn't actually hurt Hydra's progress at all (or at least, it hasn't yet) so nothing bad happened because of it.

The rtb beta has a ligitimate reason to stay restricted.

I don't know what you're butthurt about, but RTB4 is one of the most useful add-ons.

Having tried it myself, I can state that it's causing a lot of crashes, as well as that it doesn't really contribute any big new features except for switching to a private chat protocol with a friend roster, as well as that you have in-game access to the mod manager.

"Advantage" no. 1 isn't even an advantage since a lot of people are still on the old IRC network instead, as well as the fact of that the propretariary protocol isn't open for third-party clients.
There are third-party mods on RTB that do the same as advantage no. 2.
