I say they don't mix. My mom needed a driver for a printer, and she had lost the CD. She was freaking out, and I found the driver within a minute on Google.

Post your stories of parents being stupid with new stuff.

>Dad puts laptop on battery power
>Laptop shuts off
>I think it broke!

Computer is running slow, IT'S A VIRUS

Me: "Mom, check out this viral video."
Mom: "Viral video? No! That'll give your computer viruses!"
Then I explain viral videos to her.

<Laughs so hard while playing Blockland I accidentally spit milk all over the screen>
Mum: You're going to break it! Switch it off right now and go to your room!
Next day:
<Dad goes on to computer. Its fine>
Me: Jesus christ Mum, why do you have to go crazy about everything?

did you know that as some people grow older it is harder for them to learn new things
none of this stuff was around when they were your age.

Grama: "____, get in here! My laptop isn't working!"
Me: "Okay, I'm coming."
I get into her room.
Grama: "See? Look at it."
I observe the computer for a brief moment and tell her the problem.
Me: "You forgot to turn it on."
I push the button to turn it on and it works perfectly.
Grama: "Okay... thank you, ____."

It's not as much that as some people's will to learn new things.

My mom thinks Steam is a Trojan virus.

My dad and mom are actually quite good with computers. They both had DOS though. :D

uninstall incompadible game on steam

dad says: WHY DID YOU JUST DELETE THAT $50 DOLLAR GAME??!!

i say i can always re-install it for free...

dad says: oh...

My mom thinks Steam is a Trojan virus.

That sucks, why don't you just show her the Steam website and the fact that almost everyone here uses Steam?

My mum never agreed with computers but she started going back to college so she needed to be able to use one. So the day she tried to use one I was out withmy friends when I got a phone call from my mum and she said "This computer isn't working what have you done to it?" Then I replied "Did you press the power button?" Then my mum said "oh.....nevermind" and then hung up.

Who thought it was a good idea for your Grandmother to get a damn laptop?

Yeah
For some reason I think you are lying, I hardly think that actually happened, don't just make up stuff to look cool. Nobody is that dumb.
