I have a 600 watt power supply and i'm needing a new video card, many topics on this but - i need the best value card - i will prefer NVidia than AMD/ATi as i'm a NVidia/Intel fanboy but i will still use AMD/ATi

2x4GB RAM
i5 2500 (i'm not a overclocker you see and i have no need for baby intel HD)

It costs $190 which is around £115. Newegg doesn't ship outside the US so you'll have to look it up on Amazon or whatever you like using.

The GTX 460 1GB version is actually better then the 560. Save money, better card.

If you're willing to use ATI then you should get this; http://www.overclockers.co.uk/showproduct.php?prodid=GX-185-XF&groupid=701&catid=56&subcat=1515

XFX version, it's stats are similar to the current generation of ATI cards below the top-tier.
Basically, it performs almost equally to the HD 6800 series and everything below it, it's a single-slot design too so you won't have to worry about not having enough space or cooling issues.

It should work fine in a 600w PSU rig

Would you mind posting benchmarks to support that claim?
EDIT: Worth to notice is that the card I posted is a 560 ti, which is slightly faster than a regular 560.

Yeah i've been looking at the GTX 460, it's less powerhungry compared to the 560 and theres no big difference, so this will be used for further upgrade

No, the one you posted is just a regular 560.
If you were to go for a 560, you'd be way better going for the 560Ti.
However, looking at Amazon, it doesn't look very cheap. It's about £130 for a GTX550.

In that case, I'd recommend a HD6850 for the best bang for buck. Or even a HD5850, more powerful but a little older.

I'm not really a future-proof guy, a HD5850 is cheaper?
6850 is nice, but i'm a nvidiacigarette you know.

Yes. Over here it is anyway.
Price wise, the 5850 is about equal to a GTX560 (non-Ti), however that one is out of your price range.

but i'm a nvidiacigarette you know.
I really hate it when people say that. It makes you sound like an idiot.
You shouldn't limit yourself to either nvidia or ATi.

I got an awesome graphics card free from someone on the Lotro forums XD

AMD Anthon

Best kind there is.

Cheap too.
