My favourite genre is Neoclassical Metal. It emerged from classical music and speedmetal (which in itself is a sub-genre of heavy metal). Neoclassical combines classical music (often baroque, such as J.S Bach) with ampliefied guitars and keyboards. The music is usually quite fast-paced.
