Author Topic: Drawing tips?  (Read 899 times)

I've started taking an art class this year for school and I decided since I started an art class I should probably get better at at least drawing...so I'm asking all you people that are artists or just people that are good at drawing for some tips or maybe some good websites that can help.

Well I don't draw but I assume you're going to need to learn how to properly shade objects and portray the light realistically, along with being able to draw from different perspectives and keep the objects sizes correctly in place and depth.

use a pen

but seriously if you're in an art class then isn't that supposed to improve your artistic skills, I mean isn't that the entire point of it

You're using physical mediums I assume?

Be creative, I'm not the greatest drawer, but I'm one of the most creative people in my entire grade.

I guess you do have a bit of a point. XD

That's only like half of the reason though. I also want to be able to make a fursona and stuff without tracing or anything.

I don't know much about art. I actually only recently found out what ROYGBIV was. Actually, about a week or two ago. :P

tl;dr What the hell is a physical medium...

Inks, paints, pencils, etc. as opposed to using computer software.

I thought knowing how to draw is a prerequisite for art school. Guess I was wrong!

Oh. Yeah I am using that stuff. I generally just sketch instead of completely planning with those stick figure thingymaboobers, but I printed out some stuff that is supposed to help with drawing and it said something about those and gives a tutorial on how to make them so I guess I'll try them out.

Um, it's not art school, just an art class for high school.

well I suggest you don't spread the word around regular people because it will make them angry

and by regular people I mean people who don't come up with new words for not-even-a-hobby-things
