Spoiler alert- I'm pretty annoyed right now.

Okay, so first day of high school, everything's bright and dandy, my classes are all good with cool people and blah blah blah. BUT THEN, the stupid people at the school board decide that, even though I got through spanish 1 with above average scores, that they should plunk me right back in Spanish 1. Now, at the high school, people who have never taken spanish get into spanish one. That means, after two years, i'm back at square one.

Of course, my teacher said, "All right, we'll see about getting you into Spanish 2 because you're actually pretty good at spanish". But then, she says there's no classes for that in this period. Which means my awesome schedule will be crushed because someone messed up.I'm pretty good at espanol, but I'm not sure if i'm Spanish 2 material, and I don't like the idea of being in a class of all sophomores, but I'm probably just being paranoid about the sophomore thing.

So guys, It boils down to this- stay in rudimentary and keep a nice schedule, or gamble it away to be in a class. what do.

Well for me three years of German was only German I...

Just stick with Spanish I for now I say.

Yeah, but if I don't join Spanish 2 now, it'll be too tough to join later, and I feel like I don;t have much of a choice now.

I hate Spanish. I suck at it and Im in Spanish II.

I. AM. GOING. TO DIE. :(

I'm in 8th grade and in Spanish 1. Whole class is cluster forget lol.

Starting in Spanish 1 might be better. Colleges do not count skipping Spanish 1 as a year of world language. My friend found this out when he skipped straight into Spanish 2.

Maybe you should be in English 1.

I love you though. <3

Do spanish one get an easy A that way you get a high GPA and are fine for anything.

Maybe,  but if I join Spanish 2 now i might now have to tqake it later in the year.
I'm considering dropping it, because frankly i'd rather persue other things. I like spanish, but i'd much rather do art, computer sciences, photography, ETC.

I guess.

In California, as long you take 1 year in high school of a language the middle school years count too. For example I took spanish 1 and 2 in 7th/8th grade and I am taking spanish 3 in high school so all 3 years count for college (3 is recommended for UC schools).
