Author Topic: So, my district is replacing it's laptops with loving iPads.  (Read 1609 times)

I thought this was a bullstuff rumor at first, but then our (fatass) grade school principal sat down at my lunch table and showed hers to us. Now I am at RVMS, my middle school, and the iPads are coming in a week. I am pretty loving excited as I think its gonna be great using them, even though it will be weird because I am used to a laptop. I feel sorry for the poor bastards who went to HMS (the other, local middle school) that won't be getting them.

Discuss this awesomeness.

wait, but how the hell are you supposed to actually get anything done now.

I don't really understand why you would need an ipad for school.
For middle-school, at that.

There are still IBM desktops in all of the classrooms.

And they are spending all the grant money for this instead of improving public buildings like libraries?

Who replaces laptops with tablets? That's one of the dumbest ideas I've ever heard

My school replaced textbooks with these 7" internet pad things
they are so tiny

I have no clue why they did it, the iPads are replacing the laptops for every school in my district. That includes grade schools and high schools, so laptops will be pretty much extinct except for the teachers' MacBook Airs.

Teachers with MACBOOK loving AIRS? God damn. Richkid ._.

Like I said, I do  not know. I am just going along with it.
