Others represent mechs as one component of an integrated military force, supported by and fighting alongside tanks, fighter aircraft, and infantry, functioning as a mechanical cavalry. The applications often highlight the theoretical usefulness of such a device, combining a tank's resilience and fire power with infantry's ability to cross unstable terrain. In other cases they are demonstrated with a greater versatility in armament, such as in the Armored Core series of video games where mechs can utilize their hands to carry a wide range of armament in the same manner as a person, albeit on a much larger scale.
Rarely, mechs have been used in a fantasy convention, most notably in the anime series Aura Battler Dunbine, The Vision of Escaflowne, Panzer World Galient and Maze. In those cases, the mech designs are usually based on some alternative or 'lost' science-fiction technology from ancient times.

Alright, listen up. This is the airforces Valkyrie fighter plane. It has 3 modes
Jet Plane mode
Full Robot mode
And Guardian mode

Guardian mode is the mix between the mech and the jet. It's for getting around fast and having strong arms on the job.

Ironically this same show came out at the same time as transformers.

This is Robotechs Destroid Monster
It's armed with 4 huge cannons on the top of it's main chassis.
It's so heavy that it's dangerous to walk it on top of bridges or any form of ground that's not packed tight.

Now these guys are the lighter destroids, usually used for in construction and security operation

This is your regular Soldier Destroid, they are the backbone to Veritech fighting machines.
