Honestly, what would you expect? People usually defend the country they live in.

When i wrote my comment, i wrote it against the fact that he just blatantly insulted every american that uses the internet. I don't care what people think about america, but i can't stand the way people insult an entire population like that.

If this ends in saying the other country is stuff, then something goes wrong. I don't care about patriots. It's ok if you like your contry. But if this cuts the line by saying "X is superior over anything" it's nationalism which isn't ok.
