aliens planted us here long ago. just to return when we have matured socially and technologically.

just to pull us from this "farm" and make us fight for them in an ongoing war we weren't aware we were part of.

I say we will be able to colonize in about 100 years.  Maybe even half that, and I say that because look at technological advances in the past decades.  Now look back then how slow it took, like in the Egyptian days of pyramids, they had those for centuries until they made more advances through temples and such.  It seems likely to me that it will come soon at this rate.

germs work x2 as fast in space, which would effect major colonization
depending on the atmosphere in which they were to colonize.

Sounds like a cheesy sci-fi film. If we were thinking that way, my theory would be they planted us here and let us grow like some sort of farm animal, then they return to collect organic resources from us.

Set up a colony on the moon. Not too hard. Do what we have normally been doing, but land several. Take the farming soil with us. Water might be a problem, just send more in shuttles on a supply drop. Expensive, but worth it.

We made nuclear missiles. How in forget are they going to just pluck millions of us off from our planet without GETTING TURNED INTO NUCLEAR WASTE.

lol youve posted that before. and then rughugger or someone was like "thats k as long as i can be the admiral of the human fleet"

heheheh

We are the aliens.

And it wouldn't be too hard to store our genetic DNA/cells in capsules and send them out. Technically that is considered colonization, but only in the long term.

...

yeah, because human babies would definitely just pop out of some capsules and survive on a foreign planet just like that

That sounds like a cheap horror movie.

They created us and became our temporal gods. Different aliens intervened and had nuclear wars over Earth, these wars are documented by in the ancient chronicles of the Mahabharata. It depicts gods in the sky clashing with three metal cities, flashes being projected from the hulls, and great explosions on the ground. It describes radiation poisoning afterwards too.

There are ancient ruins of buried cities, un-decayed bones lying in the streets holding hands, hundreds of skeletons dead instantly. All in the Indus Valley.

Definitely possible.

Honestly we need to explore our own planet before exploring others...
As if wearing it almost dry of all it's valuable resources and replacing most grass with concrete isn't explored? :cookieMonster:

The only huge places pretty much unexplored on earth are the big underwater caves, but what are we gonna use those for?

Also, what if in a few years Earth gets forgeted up the ass by a meteor or something else? Will we have another planet to go to? Hell no, because of some black guy in a white house.
Even if that black guy in the white house hadn't "shut nasa down" which he didn't lol we would not have another planet to go to.  You're aware that all the planets we know about as of now don't have livable conditions right?

get giant fan powered tubes and run them up to the moon and other planets

problem oxygen?

Until some jerk farts in the tube and all that is transported to the other planets is fart gas :(

explain to me how in our infinite galaxy, how there could be no other lifeform, intelligent or otherwise? if you throw a bag of sand into the air, more than one grain of sand will have the same conditions.

It doesn't seem possible. Almost every planet is inhabitable but earth.

For us. What about the possibility of life forms that don't need the requirements that humans need to survive? Also the properties of other planets differ from ours... they may make the gasses we know on Earth, solids on theirs, for example.
