Author Topic: How to deal with Maccigarette friends?  (Read 3120 times)

oh why dont you go blog about it.

For wrong reasons though. I think I said this once before, its like being in a school yard and telling all your friends you are right because your dad told you.

Some random figure thats suppose to be one persons idea of authority doesn't mean much. To anyone who doesn't own Blockland, Badspots view is pretty awkward and cynical and should be taken with a grain of salt to say the least.

i use mac and i'm not a stuck up hipster. besides, mac makes all it's own parts. because it makes it's own parts it's more reliable and it gets fixed quicker when you send it in.
They still use Intel CPUs and AMD GPUs, pretty much the only things they make themselves would be the motherboard, unless you're talking about the other stuff like monitor, keyboard and mouse. Whoopty do, other companies can make things too.

I always thought they made their own RAM and other parts. Maybe I'm getting confused with something else...

Pretty much the Macs only strength is it is easier for computer illiterate people to operate. I cannot think of a single thing that makes a mac more desirable to someone who can operate a windows computer.

The only other companies that make computer parts is assed and Sony. Sony buys some parts from aesc. Dell buys all it's parts, it makes very little. Also, macs are less prone to viruses, and are more durable. Basically the only thing I can't do on a Mac is play new indie games that are indev and haven't been added to Mac yet.

I find it easier to do photo editing, movie editing, audio editing, and a lot on a Mac. I usually stick to my PC if I want to play games or program things.

I think the only reason why designers are more prone to OSX is because designers can appreciate Mac products, design, and philosophy. Windows is very mainstream so its pretty watered out for everyone's needs I feel.

Casual games like minecraft or terraria are great for mac. With the exception of l4d2and tf2, my other games are on console. If I want to mod minecraft, all I need to do is move a file and done. Pc is harder from what I understand.
