Author Topic: Drinking water makes me nauseous  (Read 2526 times)

Does this happen to anyone else? Doesn't matter what temperature it is, from what medium it was acquired (tap water, bottled water, etc.) brand of bottled water. It makes my stomach feel like it has a huge hole in it and like I'm going to throw up. It has always done this to me, even when I was a kid, when my parents made me drink water and juice and milk instead of soda. It's extremely unpleasant tasting as well, always has been. To me it tastes like dirt and iron.

Discuse.

Well stuff, that must suck. :c

That's water for yah.

At least the way you explained the taste, I don't know about some Tummy Void.

It happens when you drink a lot of water and you're hungry, it basically expands your stomach when you drink too much of it, people in food eating competitions drink a load of it so they have more room for food.

And be glad you didn't grow up on soda, that's good parenting in my opinion, I usually drink a cold glass of milk or some water, while people have huge soda addictions and end up with teeth rotting quickly.

It doesn't matter whether I have food in my stomach or not though.
Yeah but I drink soda by the stuff load now so no cigar.

It could be where you live.  Maybe the water isn't all clean there.

I can barely drink our water if the tap hasn't been used for a whole night.

I like soda, but I'm generally restricted to one can a day.

Possibly. I've experienced changes in water taste in Wisconsin: To me it has some sort of soapy taste.

I've heard that tap water coming from on ground water bodies tastes bad. Water in my area comes from underground, first filtered by sandstone, then by water cleaning devices. Yum.

This

Also, get a brita filter or pur filter for your water. It will improve quality and will prevent that sick feeling.
