I've been on the forums for a good year now, and this has been one of the few things that still baffles me. I'd very much like a description of these icons and their meanings, if there is a meaning at all to be found.

A plain folder is a new new topic.
A folder with yellow !!! is a topic that has got quite a bit of attention and posts
A folder with red !!! is a hot topic with many posts
A folder with bars a topic with a pole
A folder with a lock is a topic thats been locked
