Remember the
Impromptu Show? That show we did on internet radio?
Well forget that stuff; what if I told you I'd be doing the show (potentially) every weekday live on a real radio station in Ohio (at the very least on Saturdays)? What if I told you I wasn't just being optimistic and was actually not stuffting you?
Well, here's the deal. I'm enrolled at the University of Akron here in Ohio, and we have (as the website boasts) the best student ran station in the nation. And I'm a part of it right now. Sitting here in the offices in the kitchen listening to some hot chicks talk about tomorrow night's news show.
Well, basically, I'm going to be pitching the idea for the show to the program manager (who is a really freaking cool guy) and I have a feeling he's going to like it. They don't have a talk program like the one we were doing, and they're always open to suggestions; because it's student ran, students are pretty much the top say when it comes to what we do and don't run (so long as it's in FCC Guidelines).
Anyway, I'd take some "pics or it didn't happen" pics, but my Philosophy class in another building just started, so I'm there right now (I stopped writing the post, left the station and walked to the other building). So I'll bring my laptop again sometime tomorrow and take a few shots of the place.
Anyway, good idea, bad idea? The station has an online listener application, so don't worry if you don't live in Ohio to listen. And if you do live in Ohio (in what's considered the North East) then you can tune in to FM 88.1 once I get the show up and started.
Also, Gina, Matt, Dylan and I all go to the same school, so it'd still be the same show (Kurt was a richard and went to some college in West Virginia).
