I'm annoyed that I can't remember the name of the anime which was essentially just a bunch of violence and torture, and had a really awesome and creepy opening theme...

rozen maiden has the most amazing openings hands-down due to violin, the link i gave is just an orchestrated version, but they still have amazing violin parts :D
