Author Topic: Monitor displays a black screen in Native Resolution  (Read 915 times)

To save time from the "Let me google that for you" posts: I googled alot, and even looked at Dynex webpage for the native resolution, and googled for solution for the problem. All google does is make me want to throw a hammer to my Blockland. :P

I have a 1680 by 1050 monitor made by Dynex. It's in the property settings but when I set it and try it out, all I get is a horrible black screen of death. It won't display my computer screen at all. I have the Intel Graphics Card. Is there a solution? Is there a driver for the Intel product or the monitor itself? (This does effect blockland because I want crisp and sharp display but all I get is a horrible resolution that make it blurry)

Try making the refresh rate something like 60Hz

They're are. They are in their native settings except the Resolution.

Try updating your graphics card driver then.

They're already updated. :(

Anything? The resolution I have it set to is starting to mess with my eyes.

:panda: Sorry for Triple Posting, but I really want a solution. Like fast.  :panda:

Sorry for the 4th post in a row, but I really need help. I'm pretty much on the verge of ripping my hair off. xP

Try running in a lower resolution. If you're in fullscreen, get out of it, if you're not, get in it.

Thanks, but I want to get in my Native Resolution, the whole purpose of this help topic.

I know. It's just a suggestion, usually when it doesn't display ANYTHING, that means it's a resolution/graphics glitch.

They're already updated. :(
How are you determining this?
If you are using the tool in windows that tells you whether or not it is updated, it's never accurate. It will tell you that it is updated, when it isn't.

Go to start > run > dxdiag
And post the entire contents of the first tab, and the display tab. I'll help you update them manually.

Sorry for major bump but I already updated my graphics chip on Intel website plus Intel Craphics (What I call them) Card is something that you should never mess with. If something screw up, PC lits on fire and you would have to kiss your house good bye and welcome yourself into the hobo world.

But I'll shall give you them anyways:

You obviously know nothing about computers.
You've gotta always update your graphics, at least once every 3 or so months.
