Author Topic: ShadowsfeaR Needs a 7 String  (Read 407 times)

I wanted some input from some of musical types on a decent 7 string guitar with a price range under $600. I was looking at the Ibanez RG7321 and wanted to know if that was any good. Please help. :P

Get a Schecter Omen 8. You'll get your 7, plus an extra string for only $400 (Great range is a great thing). I own one and it plays like a badass, sounds fantastic.

Or if that's not your thing and you just want a good 7 string, get an Agile.

It's the best 7 string you'll ever play for the price. Agiles are incredible guitars, it baffles me as to how they can sell them so cheap. My friend got the guitar at the link and it sounds better than any 7 string I've ever played.

Edit #3: I forgot to mention that 7 string has a Licensed Floyd Rose tremolo which is, in my opinion, not worth the loving time and effort. They're incredibly, illogically hard to tune and change the strings with. If that doesn't bother you then fine, if it does then check this one out:

It's just under $600 but it's an Agile so it's worth it.

I was going to suggest the Universe because Steve Vai designed it. Then I looked at the price.

What about a guitar with a Floating Trem?

Realized those are the ones with Floyd Roses. I want a whammy bar. :C
