Im trying to download something thats 8gb and I want it done tonight. But my sister is being dumb and watching videos. Im running at 60.0 KB/s because of this. Can I go into the router settings and shut off the internet for the computer shes using?

Sounds like my greedy parents when their netflix buffers.

You can go through her computer and turn off her internet.
Anyways, what are you downloading... I'm suspicious...

Remove her MAC address from the router's filter.

Mess with her adapter.
Can i just do it through router settings?

That'd be a pretty richardish thing to do, if I were her I'd beat your ass for considering it.

What the hell, how do you not know just to go to network settings on windows and disconnect from your router? You don't have to mess with your router or anything.

You have stuffty internet with stuffty bandwidth.  Or great internet being throttled by stuffty bandwidth.

Likely because you're in a populated area and using broadband like an idiot.

Omfg. Download went from 7/8gb to 5/8gb Wtf. ._. Not playing tonight.
