Author Topic: Copying Key File.  (Read 1788 times)

If i wanted to play Blockland on a different computer with my same account, could i copy my Key File from this computer and then paste it onto my new one and have Blockland work? Because i have heard mixed reviews on this topic.

But you can just install Blockland and enter your key into that copy. Your key will work no matter what computer you're playing Blockland on. Just don't share your key with anyone, Badspot doesn't like that.

Are you talking about the key file? I don't have my key because when i was 10 i wasn't very smart.

No I mean the actual key, not the file. You might have to recover it: https://blockland.us/keyRecovery.php

Copying your key.dat from one computer to the next will be viewed as a pirated key (I think?)

The key.dat only works on the computer it was made on, and you can't extract the key from it. You can't pirate the game because it uses online authorization and each key is personally made and not generated in any pattern.

I know there's some problems with what I said, although it shouldn't matter in such a case as it might only motivate morons.

Awww that sucks. I will have to get another key then D=. And i wont have my name or BLID. Ive already got 3 of my friends to start playing this game and now i will have bought 2 keys, i think deserve some consideration for that.   :panda:
At least the computer i am getting the key for is completely awsome. 12 GB ram 1TB drive intel core 7 and some other fun stuff.

Tom

Have you tried this:

Or did you forget the password for the E-Mail you bought they key on?

Yea the email used to make the account is gone.

well yea, i can still play the account. Im just missing the key. So yes i have the BL_ID.

So does anyone know a way to get my key back? I would pay 20 to keep my current account. Maybe even 30.

As I can tell Badspot himself runs the key recovery e-mail, not a vague bot.
If you just email him and let him know who you are you should be fine.

Oh well i have thought of that, i sent BL support about 6 or 7 messages, including things from my BLID, Name, about when i bought it, the credit card number and the old email it was on. I have sent him a personal PMs about it. I don't know if hes just ignoring me or really busy because my latest email was about 3 months ago.
