For the people who aren't familiar with what cosplaying is; cosplaying is when you dress up and act like an anime/video game character, a lot of people call it larping Live Action Role Playing.

Have you ever cosplayed?  If so, who?  What did you do while cosplaying? Did anyone recognize your character?  If you want post pictures of when you cosplayed

I've cosplayed as Matt from Death Note a few times, I'm going to be L next time I cosplay because I cant finish my Matt costume.  I basically walked around my neighborhood with my friend who was Mello.
There are no anime fans where I live so no one recognized me.  Sadly, I have no pictures :(

The most I would EVER dress up as a video game character or something would be wearing a new california republic shirt or something.

First sentence can be considered partially false. Cosplaying is not ONLY for anime characters. You can play other things too.

As for me, I've been working on Armour for my Alphonse Cosplay.

Cosplaying is better when it involves cool armour.
Anime cosplay is an instant nono in my books though.

Unless it's armour, like Alphonse.

If I ever cosplayed it'd be a SPAESH MAREEN

I went as the Hunter from l4d on Halloween once.

I don't like the idea of cosplaying.

Cosplay is one of the girliest things on the planet.Next to ponies.

Cosplay is dressing up as your fave video game or anime character.

It counts.

I went as an engineer for halloween

Not to mention Cosplay = Costume Play

So there are no real strict rules about when it is done.
