So my birthday is on the 5th and I usually get 1 or rarely 2 presents for it and today my dad asks me this: Do you want a present for your birthday or do you want to wait until Christmas and get something twice as good? But I'm slightly worried he's going to get me a ipad/tablet(I don't want one because we already have one that everybody in our house equally shares and I wouldn't want him to waste $800 one that wouldn't get used a lot.)But there's still that chance that it could be something entirely different.

my birthday is a couple days after my moms birthday so it's like a unspoken birthday week for her (same way for everybody elses to) and I couldn't think of anything I would like to have during that time. My dad is good at knowing what I would want for my birthday even before I would know it.

he over heard my mom and I talking about the different kinds of tablets for the past few days, so that's what makes me think he's going to get another one for Christmas.

I think it's nice that his dad surprises him. Though from to sounds of it he's very predictable.

I'm not saying I don't get good gifts, but I wish I still had that thrill of unwrapping a present.
