the human race died out a loooong time ago cause humans didn't even have houses, so they were outside and died

I'm talking about thinks like people with weapons, wreckless drivers, etc.

Watch out, Sandvich.

Usually I just get a Slap across the face and I'm good from there

Orrr someone's just mad they got grounded. It's pretty easy to blame your rage for being punished on the punishment itself.

Breaking your child's pinky finger? That's cruel.

I would rather get a spankin' then get grounded

Other way around for me. Getting spanked is loving humiliating, and on top of that, it hurts.

If I were a parent I'd stage a fake kidnapping to scare the stuff out of my kid
Which is why I'm not a parent
My dad did that as a joke.
Didn't scare me too much once i noticed.
My mom and my brother didn't notice for 45 loving minutes. Would've been longer if we didn't let them know.

At least it ends in like 5 seconds.

5 second punishment sounds better than a 7 day punishment

Ends in 5 seconds, but the humiliation continues long after.

grounding is stupid

taking away something that you love isnt going to make you be a good little child and obey your parents
its going to fill you with rage
and make you rebel more

ITT: kids mad at their parents for punishing them.

If your kid's 14 and still needs to be grounded you can pretty much just assume you've failed as a parent and should disown your child as soon as possible so he can be an even more angsty douche around someone else.
