My general opinion on parents "grounding" their kids

It's loving stupid. I've been grounded from leaving the house for 4 weeks now and my mom said i was getting an attitude about it that i should be a perfect little child and do every loving thing she says just because she lets me use my laptop

Do parents really think grounding their kids gets anything done anymore? Lol. All it is is them exploiting their kids to get them to do more work and have more of a reason to make them do it. Doesn't even teach a lesson. I think parents should just be allowed to break their kids pinky fingers or something. Not letting me go somewhere is just making me wish I were dead, not wish i hadn't done what i wasn't suppose to do. There is no lesson involved in this, just being treated as a slave and getting little to nothing accomplished for everything "good" that I do. And when i DO get tired of it, they think I'm insane. Smart.
