What are you most afraid of in life? What really terrifies you at the thought or the mention it it's name?
Most on average have 3-5 phobias. What are yours?
Mine are as follows:
Trypanophobia - Fear of needles
Apiphobia - Fear of bees
Nyctophobia - Fear of the dark
Claustrophobia - Fear of tight, enclosed spaces
My reactions to each:
Trypanophobia: Even if I know I'm not getting poked by any needles at my trips to the doctor's office, I am terrified of someone springing it on me. "Guess what? We have to poke you with this." It hurts, and is downright terrifying. Seeing a needle makes me panic and breathe erratically.
Apiphobia: I simply get incredibly nervous around bees. I often just try to shut my eyes and wait it out.
Nyctophobia: Not so much the dark itself... It's that I can't see what may be there. If I can see well enough, I'm fine, but if it's totally dark I get quite frightened.
Claustrophobia: If I have to be in a closed space, especially with a lot of people, I just start breathing heavily and fidgeting. It annoys a lot of people, but I almost can't control it. I move around a lot uncontrollably and often bump into things.
