If I'm a terrible person for not caring than I guess I am. At this point, those people are doomed to become extinct, the world around them is advancing too quickly for them to keep up with.

Seeing that there are starving kids elsewhere does not change the fact that you are miserable where you are.
This kid has a problem and felt the need to vent on the internet. Don't loving tell him he is wrong for saying that his situation sucks, because it does. Yeah it could be worse but it isn't, it is what it is and it sucks. This topic isn't like many of the others where it involves a greedy kid saying that his parents won't buy him stuff.
