Author Topic: Playing Blockland through a Pyoxy Serv.  (Read 1142 times)

Hello, my school uses a proxy serv to restric it's internet. I was wondering if there was any way to 'avoid it' to play blockland.

Does the server list even appear?

Proxy has blocking settings. That means it might block you from joining blockland servers. You could ask your teacher to allow it.

I doubt a teacher would even know how to do that.

At my school we can't even download any programs. Only documents.

That sucks!

My old school used to use Smoothwall. Short story: you're forgeted.

You can't install programs like that on my school compy's you need an adminis-
Durr. Use a Flash Drive with the Already Installed copy on it.

I am using my own laptop if that helps.

Then why would you need a proxy? I mean, only if you didn't want the school to know what your doing of course. But yea you can.

Have you not read the thread? His school uses a proxy server that filters out "bad" webpages/requests. He wants to know how to play Blockland through his school's proxy.

Look into SSH tunnelling. It allows you to forward all traffic for certain ports through the SSH port to an external server which can then forward the data on and send it back to you through the SSH port again. Most schools leave their SSH port open.
