Why can't people just realize that people like some things that you don't

I swear. It makes me so mad when people argue over things that they don't like.
Some examples;

People who like Dubstep VS. People who don't
Playstation VS xBox
PC VS xBox/Playstation
Bronies VS Non-Bronies
Furrys VS Non-Furrys
League of Legends VS Heros of Newerth
Blockland VS Roblox
Veggietarians VS Carnovors
Cats VS Dogs
Mac VS Windows
And the list could literally go on forever.

Am I the only one who doesn't want to argue over everything? I mean, I can accept that people are bronies, or Furrys, and Mac users. Sometimes I feel like I'm the only one who thinks this way.

So I guess the point of this thread is, why do people argue over things they don't like, and why can't they accept everyone is different?
