Author Topic: Sewing...  (Read 928 times)

So today I noticed I had a huge rip in my seat cushion, I thought I would have to buy a new one, but then I remembered that I had a sewing kit. I sewed it up, and now there is no rip.

It may sound like a girly skill but it is a very handy skill to know. If a button falls off your shirt, sew it back on. If a cushion on your seat rips, sew it back together. A lot of things can be solved by sewing.

Discuss sewing...

I just sew a button back on my shirt today.

doubleEdit: What a coincidence! For some reason I thought about making a topic on it today.

You thought someone would harass you for knowing how to repair something?

What dkamm said, nothing girly about sowing up a bullet wound.

No, I was expecting some one to come in and call us girly for knowing how to sew.

Not many guys know how to sew, and people at school would make fun of others for it.

I guess paying attention to my Home Ec instructor really pays off in the end...

I learned sewing from my mother. lol.

I hate the word sew
Just the way it is. :(

I dont know how to sew :C

Knowing how to sew your mate's dress shirt buttons back on is a pretty useful skill, fitting patches on the groin/knees of pants is also useful, as they'll inevitably wear out. Mind you, my stitching is horrible beyond buttons and duct tape stuff sewn together with fishing line.

I learned sewing from my mom. handy little skill to know
