So for the past 4 months (ever sense my dad got his iPad), we have been getting into friendly debates over the future of technology. Well, i was just thinking, who is right?
Anywho, me and him just got into an argument over stuff, and heres what we said;
Me: Haha. I cant wait for the day when I can say, "Back when I was a kid, I used things like VHS, and CDs!
Dad: Im surprised you would mention that. I would have assumed you would say, "Back in my dad, I used to use a PC!"
Me: Pc isnt going anywhere for a long time.
Dad: Bull. Soon they will have the power to put a terrabyte of memory in a thing like this iPad!
Me: True. But this wouldnt be for awhile.
Dad: It doesnt matter. Soon PCs and Consoles will cease to exist.
Me: You're an idiot. Where are you getting this from?
Dad: I was talking to my good friend Brian. He plays quite a few games, so im sure he knows what hes talking about.
Me: Ok. Even if they had the power to put all the core component of a computer in an iPod-
Dad: Which they will
Me: No one would play games on an iPad!
Me: I dont understand why you cant understand this.
Dad: I dont see why they wouldnt-
Me: Because it doesnt come with a mouse or controller!
Dad: They could make one.
Me: It doesnt matter if they did. It would just me too clunky!
Dad: No it wouldnt, i mean, look at some of these games on the iPad now!
Me: What? Like Angry Birds?
Dad: Yes.
Me: WHO WOULD PLAY A SERIOUS GAME ON AN IPAD?
Dad: Plenty of people. Why wouldnt you want to play a shooter like call of duty on the go?
Me: Because! You would have to hold the iPad, and the controller!
Dad: They could make a stand for it.
Me: That costs you more money?
Me: No. PC's arent going anywhere, atleast for awhile.
Then I stormed off.
I just wanted to know who is right? Him or me?
