Author Topic: Tree UPDATED. Found one, have a question.  (Read 962 times)

I need a photo of a tree with many branches clearly showing.
It also needs to be relatively HD because I'm gonna blow it up bigger.
Trans would be nice.

How big could I blow this up to without it looking stuffty? I'm gonna head to Kinko's in a minute.

I have noticed we are in an extreme lack of hot trees......

Google is your friend.
What's the res on that/how big could I blow it up to and print it out without it looking stuffty?

I googled "tree" and I thought this looked lovey.

You can blow up vector-format pictures indefinitely without a loss of quality, but you need a program like Inkscape to even edit it the tiniest bit and to print it you need a browser that is not Internet Explorer. That means use a .svg, a good place to find them is openclipart.org, plus all pictures on that site are copyright-free (like you care.)

yeah, I really would suggest vector images over just about any other format for things where you'll need varying sizes of the image

Or you could drag the image into an Inkscape document, select it and use "Path" > "Trace Bitmap". Mess with settings (protip: use "color" mode") until you get a good looking result. Export it as a bitmap of your desired size.

Vector images are severely underrated ;(

Also, here's a good (vector) image:
