I would be willing to Dedicated Host for you guys for free. I have a safe and secure system with FTP and a telnet Start/Stop.

Thanks for your offer Tertahedron but I'd rather be personally responsible for the server. I don't mind paying for it, I just need some time.

Alright, I also host websites too. If you want anything just pm me. ;)

Starting on my app now.

Progress on the server:

I'm about to start my spring term at college which means I'll have to buy new books and supplies. Once I see how much I have to spend on all that, I'll determine whether or not I can right-away pay for a server or if I should wait and save up money to recover my bank account. More news later.

Further progress on the server:

I can definitely afford a server. It will be launched ASAP.

Best progress on the server thus far:

Server's up! Keep on building, boat-builders!

Posting just so you don't have to post twice.

Brilliant server. The interiors (especially the wood striped cabins) really inspired me.

Always happy to hear high praise! :3

I officially signed us up for a spot at Blockoworld. I put us down for a 48x48 space because I want that 48x length,  but also stated in the comments section that we only really needed a 48x32.

So the question is, assuming we have a 48x32 to work with, what should we do? I have a few ideas but I want to hear what you guys have to say.

Perhaps a large-end powerboat, like the kind the size of a car, but slightly larger, with the Oceanco logo in front of or behind it.

Or perhaps one of those "cutaway" projections of a ship's hull, to demonstrate interior and exterior, and maybe provide a showcase of what kinds of things Oceanco does?

The problem with building even a small boat is that they're larger than you would think. My speed boat in the server is what I consider to be really friggin' small and it's 52 bricks long, which (obviously) wouldn't fit on a 48x.

The section idea is pretty neat. Show interior as well as exterior. Unfortunately I'm not sure how detailed we can get when we're working with something that small.

Honestly at this point I'm thinking about refining the X01's design (the older one had some... efficiency flaws... that I didn't notice until construction was well underway) and recycling bits of the original design into a newer, more efficient, possibly larger, and more visually appealing ship. Then making a model similarly to last year and putting that up for our display similarly to last year.

Star if you trust me enough i can try to make a 40-48 brick long speedboat or good looking boat of some sort.

Try it in the server or offline and post pictures for me to see.
