Author Topic: Whats a good gaming computer?  (Read 1946 times)

hhmmm any suggestions?
Any better NVidia GeForce or one of the higher end Radeons. Really can't go wrong there.

EDIT: Took another look, the card is all right. It'll last you long enough, so getting a better one isn't that necessary.

:D

I found a 10gb Radeon graphics laptop at Sam's Club for a good and fair thousand.
The coffee in my arms nearly dropped and my wallet wanted freedom. ;-;
That means nothing. If it's 10gb, what part is 10gb? HDD? RAM?
Radeon graphics? What chip? How much VRAM? What are the clock speeds? It could be anything from a Radeon HD2200 or something to a Radeon HD6990 which is approximately 1000 times more powerful.

If you can afford it, this laptop is a good way to go.

Laptops aren't the best if they aren't necessary. They overheat and are overpriced for the specs. If he can get a desktop, I suggest it.

Well anything ill get that can run minecraft with no lag is a good computer or laptop to me

i figured that i was talking about the RAM would be logical.
laptop are really good if you know what you're doing and take care of her properly. i've been using this same little 2gb one for about 2 and half years now.

im not lazy but that jus seems too hard for me

It's not hard.

Step 1 - Buy parts
Step 1A - Buy case
Step 2 - Install motherboard into case
Step 2A - Install RAM/Graphics/all that other stuff. And the processor
Step 3 - ???
Step 4 - Profit.

If you're really that lazy, then you should just sleep all day.

Anybody who is suggesting a prebuilt to you is an idiot. Don't listen to them because they have no idea what the forget they're talking about. You will never find a prebuilt that isn't a ripoff. Don't do it.

Building your own computer is NOT hard. The hardest part is actually choosing what parts to get, and getting enough money for them. It's like a jigsaw puzzle with 10 pieces and all the spots they go into are already marked for you. If you say you can't build a computer, then you're just lazy.

While I agree with this, if someone isn't confident building a computer, they are more likely to forget something up.
For some people it's just better.

How could you forget something up with it? It's literally plugging stuff into slots and using a screwdriver. There's no reason that you shouldn't be able to do that.

The only thing I'd be concerned about with somebody new to it is trying to force things, using too much heat compound, and static. But all three are easily solved by not being dumb.
