Author Topic: Lord Tony Should Apologize to Stocking (Locked for now)  (Read 122540 times)

That list was created by Harvard graduates and well-educated people so I think it's fairly trustable.

Harvard is a law school, it's not especially famous for producing historians LOL

Neither is a list of autistic people containting people that aren't actually autistic.
they probably were though

Look, autism is not necessarily bad for you, so it makes for a really silly insult

Where are you getting this from, lol.
you don't have to get something from somewhere if you already know what it is

Again, you're missing the point.

If I write an AP History paper and claim that all those people that Davy listed have Autism, any form of it, my teacher would call bullstuff because they never heard it and would want me to cite my sources about it.

Harvard specializes in applied sciences, it has a law part of the school, though. Nevertheless Harvard alumni are valid citations.

Beethoven wasn't autistic, he was a savant. Savants are born without the capability of multitasking, so it makes socialization difficult but allows them to employ the full power of their brain into a single activity, and in Beethoven's case that was playing the piano.

If you're autistic and attacking girls on an internet forum it's absolutely bad for you.

Your Harvard alumni friends should double-check to make sure they didn't get a mail-order degree.

None of those people have Autism.  If they did, it would be almost impossible to prove it now.

Almost all of these are speculated by the same guys.  Even so, there is no way to prove that they did, hence the title "SOMETIMES CONSIDERED AUTISTIC".

Savant syndrome is also a form of autism.

Savant syndrome is also a form of autism.
Quote from: Wikipedia, "Savant Syndrome"
Although not a recognized medical diagnosis, researcher Darold Treffert says the condition may be either genetic or acquired.[2]
According to Treffert, about half of all people with savant syndrome have autistic disorder, while the other half have another developmental disability, mental handicapation, brain injury or disease. He says, "... not all autistic people have savant syndrome and not all people with savant syndrome have autistic disorder".[2]

This is a topic about Stocking being a girl and not a bunch of people arguing about autism.

How did this thing evolve from Stocking calling Fred dumb.

Discussions and topics change over time.  It happens naturally on these forums :(

yeah but if you're just talking to someone who knows what autism is then you won't have to

we're not discussing Beethoven here

Your point? There is still a possibility he had both. He shared similar personalities with those of autistic people.
Nevertheless Stocking shouldn't have been an inconsiderate troll.

You realize that when talking about people who lived over 100 years ago it's impossible to prove they had autism right?

Because Fred assumes everyone thinks the same.
